The Swimsafe Australia group, established in 1997, started research into sun-protective gear due to the ever increasing awareness of the harmful effects that the sun is having especially on children.
The governing bodies in the USA, Australia and Japan endorse the FloatSuit as it has passed the most rigorous testing for buoyancy, UV testing by the Australia Cancer Council, and fabric strength. Jakabel is the sole distributor in the UK of the Swimsafe Floatsuit and other Swimsafe products that are available on the market. The Jakabel Floatsuit is comfortable to wear and flexible, thus giving the child free movement while keeping their head above the water. So while your child is learning to swim he is safe, and at the same time the suit he wears is protecting him from the sun with a UPF rating of 50+.
Jakabel has a range of neoprene wetsuits for keeping your child warmer and at the same time offer sun protection. The wetsuits come in standard blue/blue and blue/pink colours, or you can choose the neon wetsuit that come in blue/neon and pink/neon colours. The third choice in their wetsuit range is the camouflage wetsuit that comes in blue or pink camouflage. All the wetsuits are manufactured from 2.5mm neoprene rubber.
